Detection effectiveness of the airborne early warning radar is affected by its detection range as well as its detection probability. This paper presents a method for simulating and evaluating the detection effectiveness of the airborne early warning radar. Firstly, the detection model of the airborne early warning radar is designed. Secondly, based on the radar system parameter as well as the motion parameters of the airplane and target, the detection effectiveness of the early warning radar is simulated and displayed dynamically.
