《素问·标本病传论篇》提出:“谨察间甚,以意调之;间者并行,甚者独行.”遂成为后世临床治法治则的重要准绳,在《伤寒论》中有较为系统的体现:“间者并行”有如“表里同治”法,“攻补兼施”法,“寒温并用”法;“甚者独行”有如“先解其表,后治其里”法,“先治其里,后解其表”法,“急下存阴”法等.

As ＂Biaoben Bingchuan Lunpian＂ of ＂Plain Conversation＂ saying that great care must be taken to observe the pathological condition and deal with it carefully. If the disease is mild, the treatment can be concentrated simultaneously on its Ben and its Biao. If the disease is serious, the treatment should be concentrated only on one aspect. All above mentioned become the most criterions for the treatment of clinical therapy and show more systematic in ＂Treatise on Febrile Caused by Cold＂ .
