Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is an invasive primary liver cancer caused by multiple pathogenic factors and is a significant global health concern. With few effective therapeutic options, HCC is a heterogeneous carcinoma that typically arises in an inflammatory environment. Recent studies have suggested that dysbiotic gut microbiota is involved in hepatocarcinogenesis via multiple mechanisms.
