本文简要阐述了图书馆读者权利的概念、主要内容和国内外图书馆用户合法权利维护的问题。只有将更多的用户权益纳入法律的轨道,才能更有效地维护用户权利,从而提高全民的文化素质。并在此基础上,提出了图书馆用户权利保护的主要途径。在当今全民阅读活动中,使全民获取知识,是图书馆的神圣职责。提出了图书馆如何开拓思路,革新服务方式。树立起全心全意为广大民众服务的新理念,以读者为中心,从自身建设等方面入手,切实维护读者用户的权利。普及均等,惠及全民,帮助读者有效地利用图书馆,真正实现图书馆的社会核心价值。
