S-(fluoroalkyl)diphenylsulfonium salts have been successfully synthesized from the reaction between fluoroalkylsul-finates and triflic anhydride in dichloromethane through a one-pot procedure. These S-(fluoroalkyl) diphenylsulfonium salts have been demonstrated to be effective reagents to fluoroalkylate C-nucleophilic substrates.
