Background. Houttuynia cordata Thunb. is a traditional Chinese herb widely used mainly because of the pharmacological effects related to heat clearance and detoxification. Emerging clinical evidence indicates that the efficacy of Houttuynia cordata Thunb. on RILI is upstanding.
