Anthraquinones constitute an important class of natural and synthetic compounds with a broad scope of pharmacological including anti-bacterial, antioxidant, laxative, anti-tumor and other activities. Physcion and physcion 8-O-β-glucopyranoside (PG) are common anthraquinones existed in various plants.
