文章探讨了荣气的概念,认为荣气包含了一切精微物质,为精气之荣华.荣气与脑的生成及生理功能密切相关,荣气以气化流通为用,内化脑髓,外显神气.荣气虚则脑髓失养,荣气滞则脑髓不纯,荣气虚滞则气机升降失司,在治疗时应着眼于补充荣气之虚,疏通荣气之滞,恢复气化流通,从而有效防治痴呆.所以,荣气理论指导下的荣气虚滞病机是痴呆辨证论治的关键所在.

The essay discusses the concept of Rong Qi,which contains all the nutrient substance, and is the glory of the vital essence. Rong Qi is closely related with the generation and function of the brain. Gasification and circulation of Rong Qi produces brain essence and shows spirit. Insufficiency of Rong Qi leads to brain essence lack of nutrition while stagnation of Rong Qi con- taminates brain essence impurity,which all result in the disorder of Qi＇s activities.
