Ethnopharmacological relevance: Huang-Qi-Jian-Zhong-Tang (HQJZT) is a canonical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula that has been widely used in both the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, including gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and chronic atrophic gastritis, in China.
