A Comparison of Negation Transfer Modes between English and Chinese

肯定和否定是人类认知中普遍存在的逻辑关系,但是在语言表达中呈现的方式存在差异。英语在表达否定逻辑时,否定词的位置在句中并非固定,允许发生否定转移,具体存在三种机制。句子涉及感官、感知类动词,会发生否定转移;否定词或否定意义可以在名词和动词之间转移;否定词可以在动词和动词相应的状语之间转移。而汉语却不允许否定转移的现象,否定词仅仅否定跟在后面的那一部分,不可能产生跨越,去否定其他成分。

Affirmation and negation are logical relations generally existing in human beings＇ cognition, but differ in ways of representation when expressed in languages.
