Background: Circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) have been proved to serve as biomarkers for diagnosis and assessment of prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is a widely-used technique to estimate expression levels of circulating miRNAs.
