Objective: To observe the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) in rats hippocampus in focal cerebral ischemia after using Buyang Huanwu Decoction(BYHWD, 补阳还五汤) and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction(XFZYD, 血府逐瘀汤), to investigate the content of BDNF in different promoting blood circulation compatibility in different period. Methods: The rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group, Buqi Huoxue group, Xingqi Huoxue group, total of four groups, each 30 cases. Using focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rat model, after modeling sham operation group and model group were given the normal saline 10 m L·kg~(-1), Buqi Huoxue group and Xingqi Huoxue group were given liquid medicine 26 g·kg~(-1),14mg·kg~(-1), 1 times/d, the rats respectively were decapitated after 5,10,15 days, each 10 rats in each group. The pathological changes in hippocampus were observed under the light microscope, and the expression of BDNF was detected with immunohistochemical techniques. Results: BDNF was significantly higher in Buqi Huoxue group and Xingqi Huoxue group, there was a significant difference compared with the model group(P 〈0.01).Buqi Huoxue group showed slow continuous increasing trend within two weeks, Xingqi Huoxue group showed downward trend after reaching a peak in the first five days. At day 10 th, 15 th, Buqi Huoxue group was significantly higher than Xingqi Huoxue group(P〈0.01). Conclusions: Different promoting blood circulation compatibility of Buqi Huoxue and Xingqi Huoxue can increase BDNF levels in brain tissue, but the protection of Buqi Huoxue compatibility is stronger than the Xingqi Huoxue compatibility.

Objective: To observe the influence that Er-xian decoction (二仙汤) and Daidzein Have on the morphology and function of the model rats by duplicating alcoholic menopausal syndrome rats model, and to probe the mechanism of how these two medicines alleviate the symptoms of Menopause syndrome. Methods: Menopausal syndrome SD rat mode with the inject-ovary-with-absolute -ethyl-alcohol method was prepared. Serum E2 and FSH were measured by using Estradiol Valerate as positive control. The change of morphology of ovary via naked eyes and E2 staining was observed, and the Ovarian estrogen receptor β was tested. Results: After four weeks of intragastric administration, each group of rats gained weight respectively. The Serum E2 level of Er-xian decoction group and Daidzein group were declined distinctly compared with the positive control group (P〈0.01). Er-xian decoction group has no statistical meaning compared with it (P〉0.05). The results of Ovary and uterus, naked eyes and optical microscope exhibited that exclude the Sham-operated group, abnormal physical findings were spotted. Mature follicles, cysts and cambiums appear in part of tissues of ovary in the Er-xian decoction group. The amount of primary and secondary follicles is relatively larger in the Daidzein group. Connective tissues in uterus are compact. The estrogen receptor β had no obvious statistical meanings. Conclusion: Er-xian decoction can distinctly raise the level of serum E2 of Menopausal syndrome rat model, and facilitates the emergence of mature follicles, cysts and cambiums; Daidzein can facilitate the increase of primary and secondary follicles and the emergence of cambium and cysts, and increase the compactness of connective tissues in uterus, which provides fundamental basis for the good impact of Er-xian decoction and daidzein having on menopausal syndrome.
